ML condemns ‘desecration’ of Jamia Masjid | KNO

Srinagar, January 07 (KNO) : Muslim League on Monday condemned the attempts to desecrate Jamia Masjid a week ago. According to a statement issued to KNO, ML’s General Secretary M Rafiq Ganaie denounced the desecration of Jamia Masjid, Srinagar by some miscreants and said that the move was intended to link the Kashmir freedom movement with global groups, which will not be tolerated. The desecration of Jamia Masjid has deeply hurt the religious sentiments of the Kashmiri people. Such an act will not be tolerated,:” he said, adding that the pulpit of Jamia Masjid has imparted Islamic ,moral, and teaching of politics based on Islamic principles to the people of Kashmir and also raised the voice against miseries inflicted on them. He said that the move to desecrate Jamia Masjid was aimed at maligning the Kashmir’s ‘indigenous freedom struggle’, which is gaining attention and political, moral and diplomatic support at international level. “It is a conspiracy of our occupier by which he wants to malign the image of our indigenous freedom movement,” he said.(KNO)
